LISA LOVERING
PRESIDENT
LISA LOVERING
WHAT ARE YOU BEST KNOWN FOR?
My endless fascination with schools! Try as I might, I have an apparently unbreakable habit of bringing almost every conversation I have – both work-related and not – back to this topic.
NAME THREE THINGS YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT
Fresh air, a cup of coffee, and Grammarly (what can I say, I’m a grammar nerd!).
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT EA?
The people! Whether we’re talking about my supremely talented (and endlessly delightful) colleagues, or our brilliant and inspirational school administrators, the satisfaction I get from this aspect of my work at EA is everything.
BIO:
Since joining EA in 2012, Lisa has made it her sole focus to build on the close working relationships the company has enjoyed with schools and candidates since its inception nearly fifty years ago. Lisa believes deeply in the power of independent schools to transform the lives of students, and that the cornerstone of a school’s success in this endeavor is the development of a strong faculty and staff. Along with her team, she is proud to be carrying on the mission of EA’s founders.

In addition to running EA, Lisa oversees all placement services and serves as point person for new school relations and retained search initiatives.

Prior to joining EA, Lisa had a successful career in marketing, after which she transitioned into the independent school world, most recently at New Canaan Country School, where she worked in admissions. A product of independent schools, including The Peck School, Kent Place School, and St. George’s, Lisa is a graduate of Vassar College.

Lisa, her husband, and their two dogs live in Bedford, New York, and are parents of three adult children, all of whom are independent school alumni (Rippowam Cisqua, Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich, CT, andTaft).
