MEET THE TEAM
ABBY GLOVER
VICE PRESIDENT, ASSOCIATE PLACEMENT DIRECTOR
ABBY GLOVER
WHERE IS YOUR HAPPY PLACE?
I’m a walking contradiction, as it’s either the gym at 6am, or Matt’s El Rancho in Austin, Texas with a bowl of Bob Armstrong Queso Dip. I guess they balance each other out!
WHAT ARE YOU KNOWN FOR?
My superhuman organizational skills.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE TEACHER AND WHY?
John Virden at the Hotchkiss School. As Dean of Students at the time, “ Mr. V.” clearly had a full dance card but somehow managed to always make time for me and was able to make me feel like I was the only one in the room. Whether it was in his office talking to him as an advisor, on the squash court, or at his house for Sunday family dinner, Mr. V. had a way of knowing how to push me out of my comfort zone while instilling in me an incredible sense of ambition as well as empathy for others. In the truest sense, he was my home away from home.
