Brett Bodnar, Placement Manager

What are you known for?
My incredible knack for trivia and remembering random facts (although I have been known to be too competitive at bar night trivia…).

Who was your favorite teacher and why?
I can’t pick just one: Dr. Nicholson-Flynn and Mr. Williams. Not only were their classes engaging and interesting, but it was obvious they knew and cared for me as a person, not just a student. They set high academic expectations, but also had a lot fun in class and great senses of humor. Fortunately, I can say most of my teachers and coaches at Lawrenceville shared these same traits.

What do you love about EA?
It’s incredibly fulfilling to make a positive difference in the lives of our candidates, especially when it’s a candidate’s very first job.

After graduating from Williams College, Brett worked in sports marketing for several years and then made the switch to independent schools, most recently as a member of the admissions office at Ethel Walker School. In addition to placement work, she oversees college recruiting at EA.

Brett graduated from The Peck School and The Lawrenceville School and now lives in Norwalk, CT with her husband and their dog, Cider, and cat, Cleo.
